Rowardennan, Loch Lomond, Scotland

Rowardennan is a beautiful setting on the eastern banks of famous Loch Lomond. It is situated at the end of the road and to go further needs to be done on foot. In fact Rowardennan is a popular stop and start point on one of the legs of the West Highland Way, Scotland's first long distance walking route.  It runs for nearly 100 miles (152 km) from the Glasgow suburb of Milngavie to the town of Fort William near the foot of Ben Nevis, Scotland's highest mountain.

This photograph looks northwest from Rowardennan along Loch Lomond and was taken from outside the Rowardennan Hotel.
